Stimulus ? What Stimulus ?
Who’s driving this disaster ? Nevada has the highest foreclosure rate in the nation (and the senate majority leader lives here) ! Home values continue to DROP in Nevada! Unemployment nation wide continues to go UP (over 10% and rising daily), Nevada’s unemployment continues to be one of the highest in the nation ( 13% and rising daily). BUT we are blessed with the Senate Majority Leader! The price of GOLD surges while the dollars value is plummeting! Our soldiers and our military generals are begging for more help in Afghanistan while our administration is deciding whether to have a Christmas Tree or a Holiday Tree this year! In one year Obama has increased our nations debt three times higher then what George Bush increased it over eight years (but he still blames George Bush for everything) ! So, are we going “Forward” or “Backing Up” or just “Sitting There Idle” while our esteemed leaders attempt to “pull the wool” over the tax payers eyes ? You make the call!

Health Care for everyone and it won’t cost the tax payers a thin dime! Or so promised the President!
We’ll cut out all the waste in health insurance and social security, so said the President.
Yup, he intends to cut the waste of government programs like the Post Office (which, since inception, has been in the red) the Social Security system (has been bankrupt not to long after it was implemented and never got out of the red since then) the Medicare system (totally bankrupt according to everyone) Amtrak (never has run in the black, never will be profitable and is government run). I have a question, Just What Government Plan EVER ran in the black or had a surplus or broke even ? The National Park System (which charges a heafty fee to enter), not in this life time will it show a profit.
So now some young and totally inexperienced Pres. who never ran so much as a lemonade stand somehow believes he can run Universal Health Care, under government control (while adding a huge new level of government bureaucracy), efficiently and profitably (or at least at a break even point)! And not a penny will have to be picked up by us or future generations, in fact they will get better and cheaper coverage (as will we all if this brilliant plan is just passed “pretty please”) . OK, I may be wrong, maybe he can, after all he is the MESSIAH !

Nevada, Politicians increase payroll tax from 0.63% to 1.17%, nearly doubling this tax. Businesses respond by LAYING OFF MORE EMPLOYEES. But how else will these politicians pay for their retirement and benefits after working 4 to 6 years at hard labor in Carson City? Jobless (unemployment) increases (that means it went up) to 9.7% and Nevada’s is in the 13% catagory. Do I vaguely remember Obama stating uncatagorically that the rush to pass the stimulus bill was to keep unemployment numbers from increasing above 6% or 7% ? (Guess DOWN is really a liberals UP)!
President proposes ways to save. You may be able to take your overpayment of taxes (the excess of YOUR money you paid to the government) and get a US Savings Bond back. By the way, the government agrees that saving for retirement will not have a positive affect on todays economy. But, not to worry, the government can take your savings, that U.S. Bond you took instead of a refund (actually Savings Bonds are an IOU from the government) and spend it any way they want (Sen. Reid will need lots of tax payer dollars for his, soon to be, retirement benefits) letting future generations pay you back from their tax increases. Brilliant ?
Obama adviser and Green Czar RESIGNS after telling Republicans they are a – - holes and signing a document that said Bush was partially responsible for the 9-11 terrorist attack. (Which he recently recanted, with fingers crossed behind his back) THANK YOU GLENN BECK AND SEAN HANNITY AND BILL O’REILLY AND FOX NEWS AND ESPECIALLY ALL YOU A – - HOLES FOR HOLDING TO YOUR PRINCIPLES AND VALUES !!
Obamas Caucasion Support is slipping in the polls (can you say freefall?). Steep declines among White Democrats and Independents and Libertarians and, of course Republicans, for Obama. Due to growing DISCONTENT over his policy agenda, health care overhall fiasco and radical Czar appointees.
Of course Obama continues to get unquestioned support from the “Looney Tune” party!

Sounds very much like they are trying to retain Cheney’s policies that kept us safe for the last 8 years all the while trying to HANG Cheney for these very same policies. Can you say “I voted for before I voted against”? or “I was never told of WMD’s even though I was in a meeting that disclosed all we know about WMD’s” (Yawn) !!!

Reasons for this decline “Social Democrats have no economic competence” according to polls in these countries. (But we’ve always known this!)
Americas “left leaning” President Obama ignores these signs and keeps pushing his far left socialist agenda. Informed Americans of all parties are abandoning Obama and his leftist policies in droves. Maybe, just maybe, the world has come to its senses??
The head of the UN, Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, has a message for DESPOTS and DICTATORS, lets sit down and TALK. North Korea says sure, right after we have perfected this Nuke! Libya says “You Betcha”, right after we have this huge “Welcome Home” party for the lockerbie bomber! The executive director of Human Rights Watch, states “The main image people have of him (Ban Ki-moon) is sitting down with the bad guys and getting NOTHING”. Obama continues to follow in the UN Secretary’s shoes in “lock step”, all the while showing the soles of his shoes to the Israel Prime Minister, in support of Israel, our true ally.
Japan’s new FIRST LADY believes she knew actor Tom Cruise in a former life and visited the planet Venus in a triangular space ship. She also states she is a true fan of Obama, definitely a Democrat and, with the support of Acorn, will be Voting for Obama in the next election !
Last but not least, The Mote Marine Lab in Florida is trying to find a lost underwater ROBOT. The robot, named WALDO (Really) has the scientists asking “Where’s Waldo”. Acorn is also looking for the Robot after registering him to vote in next years senate election races, YES, he is registered as a Democrat in 12 states.

After getting support (somewhere in the 80% range) from the Jewish community before the election, President B. Hussein Obama now finds Jewish support slipping, Israel now reports Obama’s supporters in Israel, are at about 6% and dropping fast. Could it be they got a glimpse of a small rug facing Mecca, in the oval office? Hmmmmmmm.
Obama’s Social Security adviser, (some guy who goes by the name of Czar Cheapster ???) recently decided, due to the stalled and declining economy, to withhold any COLA’s from Social Security recipients for the next two years. In a follow up on this, the National Academy of Science now finds seniors poverty levels have DOUBLED from around 9% in past years to about 18% today. It appears Grandma is living on a stale loaf of bread while MICE in Nancy Pelosi’s backyard are getting tens of millions of tax payers dollars to study if they really do eat cheese ! A recent release from an unnamed democrat politician
stated “Well, Yes, it is true we are studying mice in Pelosi’s back yard, after all, they are more important to our economy then some old “granny” who is only a drain on the economy and is bankrupting Medicare.
Just in, the left loonies are upset because the right righteous are questioning Obama’s intended release of something he may want to tell students. The left loon’s claim no one questioned Bush and Reagan talking to students so why question Obama for doing the very same thing? Could it just possibly be that the majority of parents out there with school age children trusted Reagan and Bush to not use this forum as a political tool for their agendas BUT they don’t have the same trust of Obama, possibly due to his actions in the past 8 months???

Is Obama leaning toward that dreaded “S” word?? Lets take a look. The Economy, controlled by the government, has (in recent years) been at about 33% ! This simply means the government controls about a third of our GDP.
Lets take something the Government actually runs and controls. The Post Office is fairly efficient, you go to your mail box today and you know your mail will be there. You know that if you want to send Aunt Hazel a letter you can, place a stamp on the envelope (along with her address of course) and it will get to her in a couple days. So far so good. The post office has never made a profit, nor has it ever “broken even” meaning the costs of the P.O. would be paid for by the users. Who pays for this “shortfall”? You and I, the American Taxpayers. Take Amtrak, you know, if you buy a ticket at one station, the train will take you to your destination in a fairly efficient manner. But Amtrak has never made a profit, Amtrak doesn’t “break even” so you and I pay for the “shortfall” to keep Amtrak running. Yes, Amtrak is run by our government. Social Security, if you and I pay in to S.S. we should stand a chance to getting our money back some day. But the government spends our annual deposits into S.S. on other, non profitable things and issues you and I an IOU. Thus, even if S.S. could have been profitable or at least at a break even level, (if run by private industry, or as a profit making entity, or even, as the inventor of the internet, Al Gore, once said, put it in a “Lock Box” to keep the greedy politicians hands OFF of it) but, it isn’t, it wasn’t and now can never be. (Our brilliant government at work). And who pays for the “shortfall” in S.S. ? You and I the taxpayers. Some of this is good and necessary. But since Obama’s taking office, the government now controls about 40% of the economy. They now control General Motors, so if they run GM as they have historically run other businesses, it stands to reason you and I will some day pick up the “shortfall”. Ditto AIG ! If Obama does get his health care plan approved by Congress, the Senate and the American people, Government’ under Obama, will control 45% (or more) of our economy. And wouldn’t basic logic tell you that the government cannot run Health Care at a profit (since it has NEVER run anything profitably) and that you and I, once again, will pick up the “shortfall”?
Socialism is basically “Government controlling the majority of the economy and supporting unsustainable, non profit entities, plus the majority of the work force, on the backs of others who ARE able to be profitable “. (Socialsim also dictates what you can and cannot do for the benefit of the masses, it takes away your rights for the rights of common good according to some socialist govenment official who will now make all your decisions for you). At 33% Government control,(I purposely left GM off, what happens to GM is still an unknown) we, today, still have 67% of the economy in the hands of private enterprise. You know, those good people who pay taxes which allow the government to run the P.O. and Amtrak. At what point does this (government taking) become unsustainable? At what point can the government TAKE from tax payers when there are very few left, making a profit, that can pay taxes and support the non profitable government run enterprises? It’s quite simple, this system of government DOESN’T WORK. It will collapse like Russia did, China has learned that lesson quite well in recent years. If a backward country like China can learn this lesson, why in the world can’t our politicians and the many liberals out there learn and understand these historical lessons?? You make the call. (Are they, pictured above, birds of a feather? You can include Pelosi and Reid in the picture if you wish, I do!) I’m not blaming the Democrats, the Republicans of recent past are just as guilty, after all, Bush bailed out Fannie and Freddie and AIG ! Where’s “JEFFERSON” when you need him, or “Ben Franklin” or their progeny???
(Socialism, as defined by Webster; “A theory or system of social organization in which the means of production and distribution of goods are owned and controlled, collectively, or by the government”.
The Marxist Theory (according to the same Websters)
“The stage, following capitalsim, in the transition of a society to communism characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles”.) So Socialism begets Communism (over time).
Is this what our founding fathers wanted? Is this what YOU want ?? For some odd reason “I DON’T THINK SO”!

Cash for Clunkers, a Calamity or just plain DUMB. General Motors and Chrysler just reported, SALES during the Cash For Clunker period, DECLINED ! (Which usually means PROFITS also declined accordingly). Of course sales for Toyota and Honda and other FOREIGN auto makers went UP! So it appears the good folk who used this program, traded in their Chevy or Chrysler Clunker and bought a Honda or Toyota. And you , Mr. and Ms. Tax Payer, paid for this government “boondoogle”! (News Flash, Japan just announced it Loves American politicians).
“If It Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It”
In times past (when I was a banker, walking 20 miles, up hill, both ways, getting to work) Banks actually made prudent loans. If you had good credit, a job, a down payment of fair means and minor debt you could qualify for a bank real estate loan. Of course the property had to appraise at a value sufficient to secure the loan. Interest rates were sufficient to make a profit for the bank to pay their savings customers a decent interest rate and cover operating costs. There were enough banks (chartered by the government) to insure competition, so no one got “ripped off”. Private enterprise (with some government oversite) actually worked. Then came the LIBERALS. EVERYONE should be able to own a home (they said). Banks aren’t lending to the lower income folk nor some minorities (all of whom were being turned down because they didn’t qualify under common sense rules and guidelines). The government, in all it’s vast wisdom, decided to Fix a System that WASN’T Broken! “CRA”, the Community Reinvestment Act was
created under some past peanut farmer turned president. Along came a Hollywood Actor turned president, he thought the program had merit. His understudy who became president after the actor, agreed with his mentor. His mistake, he tripped over his tongue pronouncing (gee, look at the bunch of lights just twinkling up there in that big old sky? maybe not!) how about, READ MY LIPSTICK, “No New Taxes” and then increased taxes! (A common political ploy used by both parties). He was ousted by a slickster who (we found out later) liked women more then he liked governance! EXPAND the CRA said the slickster, but what do we do with all the unqualified loans this may create (asked the one true conservative in congress). Heck and Golly Gee said the Slick Southerner, create and fund a government entity to house all these non qualifying home loans. And this is how Fannie and Freddie magically appeared. But we seem to be making more loans then even Fannie and Freddie can handle (said the CEOs of Fannie and Freddie). Well heck and golly gee, said the slickster, bundle them up and sell them to those gullible folk over seas. After all, (said the slickster all the while getting huge amounts of re-election dollars from his good close friends in Saudi Arabia)
the more loans you make the more profit you will earn and the more you (Mr. CEO) you can take off the top as a bonus for doing such a marvelous job. (Thus was created unbridled and uncontrolled GREED). At this point the honest and law abiding public got involved, we can buy this house even if we don’t qualify (they said to whomever would listen) and that Greedy Banker will make the loan because he can dump it off on the government after the loan closes. And WE, this most conservative and magnanimous buyer said, can FLIP that piece of (wood and morter, but that may not be what he actually said) and also make HUGE profits. It works (cried an unsuspecting public), the government works (said the unemployed and low income citizens, and many non citizens and illegals to boot, who just bought their first and maybe second and third house). It actually did work, at least until that pesky first mortgage loan payment came due. Opp’s said the buyer, I can’t make my payment. Opp’s said the Banker, you can’t keep the house. Opp’s said the Realtor, we can’t sell all these houses that keep coming on the market. Opp’s said Fannie and Freddie, the investors want their money and all we have is a bunch of empty houses. Opp’s said the Government, we need to Fix this thing we Fixed before we Fixed it just prior to the time we Fixed it, so very long ago. Lets borrow more from those pesky Chinese so we can prop up Freddie and those other lenders and banks and “derivative creators” whatever the heck a “derivative is”. And that one and only true conservative in congress said, wait a minute, just who will pay for all this Government Intervention. And all the other politicians simply played a game they are so good at playing. It’s called “Lets Bury Our Heads In The Sand”! (and so they did). But it didn’t end there. At a recent Town Hall Meeting some attendee (a true militia type, right wing funded, tattooed “in unmentionable places” with red and green hair poorly covering the obvious gray hair, and standing behind that lethal weapon more commonly called a “walker”) said “But didn’t this same thing happen several years back and the government seemed to call it the “Savings and Loan Disaster” ? (Which the government was into, up to it’s own greedy eyeballs). At which time some government agency tough, all in black and wearing sun glasses and a shirt with the initials “DOA” took old trouble maker granny “out” and thus saved the American tax payer huge amounts in Social Security payments to pay for the entire boondoggle the Government created. And everyone lived happily ever after.

Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters “Wants to Nationalize all Oil Companies” (She must be a follower and admirer of that brilliant statesman Hugo Chavez).
Obama (a “so called” Christian) ignored our National Day of Prayer but sends his blessing to Muslims for Ramadan and praises Islam !
Harry Reid tells a Review Journal exec. that he hopes the Review Journal company “fails”. Brilliant Harry, just brilliant. (no one questions Harry, possibly because he was carrying his trusty .22 caliber rifle at the time).
Social Security recipients are told they will NOT get a cost of living increase next year ( or the one after) (heck, they get, on average, a thousand dollars a month, what else would they want). Of course all those other great patriots working for the government, at a pitance, WILL take their annual COLA’s and if refused they WILL strike (heck, what are UNIONS for anyway).
I could have traded my Clunker SUV that gets a measly 17 miles per gallon for a wonderful gas saving Truck that gets an amazing 18 miles per gallon, saving masssive amounts of money and the atmosphere to boot. And you would have given me $4,500.00 just to do this out of the kindness of your heart ?
Obama accused the Bush White House of being “One of the Most Secretive Administrations in our History”. That was then, before he was elected, now that he is in office he seems to change his tune

(how did he pay for these expensive universities for almost 10 years?) He REFUSES to release
Official Papers as Illinois State Legislator.
He Refuses to release his detailed health records
(what could pot smoking and coke usage do to a persons health anyway, nah, not much?) He even refuses to release the names of those who donated a third of the $750 MILLION he raised for his election bid (could they also be the ones who supported his university years? or could they be the Saudi’s that kept giving and giving to Clinton? and now Barack HUSSEIN Obama?)
One for the Birthers, Dr. Fukino, the director the Hawaii State Dept. of Health, states emphatically, he has personally seen the original birth certificate of Barack which verify’s Obama as a natural born citizen. Of course Obama REFUSES to release this official document but instead releases a copy of a Certification of Live Birth which Hawaii even issues to residents who are born outside the United States. He could prove, once and for all, his legal status of citizenship, BUT HE REFUSES! Ya gotta wonder WHY!
Over 20 CZAR’s (which seems to increase daily) all of them directly reportable to his worshipful Barack Obama, with no congress or senate oversite! And not one left winger questioning this? Hmmm, if my mind serves me right, someone did that in the late 1930’s,and no one questioned him either (if they did, they were unpatriotic and dealt with accordingly)!
One of Obama’s CZAR’s admits he is a COMMUNIST and another of Obama’s CZAR’s praises Hugo Chavez for closing down well over 30 newspapers, news stations and news sources. This CZAR claims this was a brilliant democratic move on the part of Hugo!

Many of you don’t remember the Savings and Loan Boom and Bust era, you’d think we’d learn from our past mistakes. I implore every one of you, Liberal, Conservative, Libertarian or Independent to read this book by Thomas Sowell. Not to prove one side is right or wrong but to understand what happened in the recent housing bust, how it affected not only our nation but the world economy as well. Knowledge is the only way of preventing this from happening again, at some future date. I’ll quote a couple passages from the book; ” The political pressures to meet arbitrary lending quotas, set by officials with the power of economic life and death over banks and over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, led to riskier lending practices than in the past”.
Also a passage written in England in 1776 by Adam Smith who referred to ” That insidious and crafty animal, vulgarly called a Statesman or Politician, whose counsils are directed by the monetary fluctuations of affairs”!
And another quote; “Many of the “problems which politicians set out to “solve” are bad consequences of previous “quick fix” solutions created by the same or other politicians”. (Sound familiar?) The past problem of getting more people in “home ownership”, especially low income and minorities, was “fixed” by politicians in the past by lowering lending practices over and over again to standards below any semblance of “common sense” risk! And now these same politicians are attempting a “solution” by creating debt in proportions unimaginable (the word “trillions” seems like pocket change to many politicians who throw these amounts out at will, this, in itself, is truly frightening beyond belief).
The country now faces a much bigger problem, how to pay back this magnitude of debt they’ve created, for our children and grandchildren. The “handwriting” is on the wall, when will we wake up to the unprecedent dangers we all face and for the future of our nation? Another quote from the book; “What the government buys with the enormous sums of money it dispenses is the power to give orders to the recipients that the Constitution NEVER authorized them to give. Politicians are Buying up our freedom with our own tax dollars”. (The Constitution NEVER gave politicians the power to fire a corporate CEO, but that’s exactly what they did recently, the Constitution never gave politicians the power to DICTATE private corporate salaries but that’s exactly what they are doing). These are truly frightening times for all of us, I urge you to read this book. On February 5th, 6th and 8th, 2009, I wrote a three part Blog on how Banks and Politicians created the

Let me sumarize this in several points.
Politicians keep their jobs by voters voting for them. The majority of voters are middle class or low income. Politicians pandered to them by touting home ownership for everyone. Politicians with absolutely NO lending experience forced lenders to make riskier and riskier loans. The low income folk, who couldn’t really afford home ownership bought homes on terms they couldn’t afford but that lenders were forced to create and abide by. Politicians, in pandering to these buyers in order to get re-elected, bragged to the world that they gave low income folk “The American Dream” in home ownership. The “Bubble” popped, these same low income folk were hurt the worst, they lost jobs and homes and many times their very marriages. so now, these very same politicians (who have taken NO responsibility for this fiasco they created) are pandering to these same people and pointing fingers at everyone else except themselves for the disaster they created. Two of the worst are Barney Frank and Chris Dodd who were up to their eyebrows in this mess. I especially urge young folk and the many liberals who are so enamored by our present leadership, to read this book, you are the ones todays political policies will come back to haunt in the future. My generation will be long gone by then. This isn’t meant to solely blast Barney and Chris, It started with Carter, esclated under every president after him and came to a head in the Bush and Obama years. All political parties are up to their eyebrows in this Housing Boom and Bust fiasco. We certainly don’t need to exacerbate it by creating Trillion Dollar debt with no idea how it will ever be paid back. And now, all those politicians who have played a major role in ruining the housing market, are eager to try their luck intervening in the Auto Industry and Health Care Industries and
Global Warming and many other sectors of the economy. All those career politicians, without a modicum of business experience or expertise, will now be running our major corporations and industries.
God Help Us All !

Took my supposed “Clunker”, a Polish Auto Company’s, mass produced, “Chevfordski” (aka Pole-dupa) to a dealer this weekend and they turned me down ! (Can you imagine?) Seems it didn’t qualify under the BO cash for clunkerski’s program because the car “smelled funny” ! (or was it that most of BO’s programs “smell funny” ? definitely one or the other !) This “HyBred” actually gets 4 miles per twelve pack of brewski (or is that 8 miles per six pack ?, but who’s counting when you have a very minor and insignificant “two trillion dollar” error in accounting by the BO government accounting offices, heck and gosh darn, what’s a six pack or two to you or I ? After all, what’s a Trillion or Two to BO and his cadre of brilliant CPA’s) ! It really pi – - ed me off, but what can you expect after I had to consume at least a dozen six packs (or was that 6 twelve packs?) to get to the dealership! (as a person ages so does his bladder) (and do remember, ethnic jokes are illegal, immoral and fattening, plus, BO and I are a members of minority groups so be kind with your comments).
